Leadership Network at CarMax Park

Leadership Network Gets an Inside Look at CarMax Park

You don’t get many chances to see a brand-new ballpark during its first week. Warren Whitney’s Leadership Network got one.

On April 9, we welcomed guests to CarMax Park, the new home of the Richmond Flying Squirrels, for breakfast, networking, and a conversation with Anthony Oppermann, General Manager of the Richmond Flying Squirrels.

The timing made the morning even more memorable. The Flying Squirrels played their inaugural game at CarMax Park on April 7, just two days before our Leadership Network gathering. Anthony shared the story behind the team, the vision for the new ballpark, and what it took to bring a project of this scale to life. Warren Whitney’s gathering also marked the first private event held at the new park.

It was a fitting setting for Leadership Network. For more than 35 years, Warren Whitney has brought Richmond-area leaders together to build relationships and hear from people helping shape our region. The speakers and venues change, but the purpose has remained remarkably consistent: create a place where people can connect and learn from one another.

Thank you to Anthony and the Richmond Flying Squirrels team for giving our guests a closer look at CarMax Park during such an exciting week for the organization and thank you to everyone who joined us.
