Gene Fitz is a Director of Warren Whitney and brings over 30 years of extensive experience in financial leadership and financial reporting in both the nonprofit and private sectors. Gene works with clients to maximize all aspects of their operational and financial performance. He ensures timely and accurate financial reporting to support audit readiness and guides clients through the implementation of GAAP standards and improved internal controls. Gene generally serves Warren Whitney’s clients in the role of fractional CFO or Controller.

Gene comes to Warren Whitney with 30-years of providing financial leadership by leading finance teams across many industries, including nonprofits, investment services, and technology. His extensive career includes serving as the CFO for a national nonprofit organization with over $30MM in revenue and 300 employees. In this role, he successfully led the finance and accounting team while overseeing human resources, quality assurance, regulatory compliance, internal auditing, and grants.
Gene has a proven track record in spearheading software conversions, improving operational efficiencies, and achieving strategic objectives and budgeting goals. His work helps organizations become more profitable and effective, and his broad-reaching experience provides a unique and insightful perspective.
