Esther is a SHRM-certified Human Resource professional with twelve years of experience building and sustaining the HR function for startups and transitioning nonprofits. She partners with leadership to understand and improve existing resources and HR strategies related to culture, retention, engagement, talent acquisition, and recruitment. She also provides support and coaching to management on complex, specialized, and sensitive questions.

Prior to joining Warren Whitney, Esther served as an HR professional in nonprofit and start-up sectors, including social services, housing, education, and an academic think tank. She has worked for small and large, local and global-based organizations such as the Salvation Army, the University of San Francisco, and the Climate Policy Initiative. Esther brings the experience of building an HR department from the ground up, developing policies, establishing best practices, and managing staffing initiatives with the strategic mindset to ensure success.
